SUMMARY: FICIX2 at Helsinki and FICIX3 at Oulu will be upgraded to new software release
monday 7-December-2009.
All services at those IX'es will be down during the upgrade. Estimated time for the
work is 1 hours max.

DETAILS: FICIX2 and FICIX3 switches require new software version to support Multicast
PIM Snooping on per VLAN mode. The upgrade will be done first to FICIX3 and after
verification that all services do work as expected, FICIX2 will be upgraded.

Members are requested NOT to shutdown ports during the work. Disabling BGP sesssions
or otherwise moving traffic away from FICIX2 and FICIX3 is encouraged to avoid unnecessary
blackholing.

FICIX1 -site will be in full operation during the change.

Connected members should notify internal and external operational units about this
planned work, most important being NOC's and Helpdesks/Customer Services.
